Work-life imbalance? (yes please)
Work-life balance is a beautiful thing, but for now you may need just the opposite: good old-fashioned imbalance so you can succeed where it matters most – before the opportunity slips away or the problem gets bigger.
Example: Tight, angry hip flexors recently drove me to seek out (ugh) physical therapy. And while I'm not progressing as fast as I would like, I am progressing.
Progress and motivation gained altitude the day I decided to shirk all other forms of exercise in favor of PT. Not forever. But certainly for now. (Meanwhile the prescribed PT exercises are multiplying like rabbits. But I digress.)
What's tugging on your sleeve lately, demanding more of your attention? Maybe it's a problem, an opportunity or both. To get the outcome you would like, you may need to table a few things – even good things – in order to make it happen.
Why not give yourself permission to do that?
